Celbridge Fianna Fail Councillor, Frank O’Rourke, has welcomed the recently completed resurfacing works on the Maynooth Road from the gates at Castletown to the junction at Tesco in Celbridge.

‘Work on the Maynooth Road in Celbridge has just been completed and this will improve the standard of the road surface and provide a safer surface for its users.’

‘Over the last year, I have made representations to Kildare Co Co to have the Maynooth Road in Celbridge from the Castletown Gates to the junction at Tesco resurfaced. The standard of this road surface has deteriorated in recent years and complete rehabilitation works were required.’

‘I am delighted that the council took on board the necessity of this resurfacing works on behalf of the people of Celbridge.  I had met with many residents over the last year and I outlined to them the progress we were making in getting the surface of this section of the Maynooth road in Celbridge upgraded.’

‘I want to compliment all those involved in Kildare County Council in bringing this project to a successful conclusion and also to thank the people and Business’s of Celbridge for their co-operation during the construction phase of the project.’ concluded Cllr O’Rourke
