Cllr Frank O’Rourke with Sean Carty Chairperson of the Wolstan Abbey Residents Association standing at the location on the Hazelhatch Road in Celbridge where Residents and members of the public are looking to have safety improved for pedestrians, cyclists and all road users.
“I was contacted by concerned Residents, members of the public and parents with a view to having a Pedestrian Crossing installed at this location to improve safety for all. This is a very busy road which leads to the M7\M8, train station, school and many other services. As requested a crossing at this location will join up the infrastructure to allow all vulnerable road users to cross the road safely and access all services. I have got K.C.C to allocate resources for a design which is now complete and this in turn is submitted to the N.T.A for approval and funding.
I will keep all informed as this project progresses. Thanks to all those who raised this issue with me”.
