Cllr Frank O’Rourke on the Lucan Road in Celbridge where Residents and members of the public are looking to have safety improved for pedestrians, cyclists and all road users. “I was contacted by concerned Residents, members of the public and parents with a view to having a Pedestrian Crossing installed at this location to improve safety for all. This is a very busy road which access the N4 at junction 5.
A pedestrian crossing at this location will join up the footpath infrastructure and give a safe connection to the bus stops to allow all vulnerable road users to cross the road safely and access all services. I have got K.C.C to allocate resources for a design which is now complete and this in turn will be submitted to the N.T.A for approval and funding. The N.T.A fund these type of projects to assist safety for pedestrians and all road users.I will keep all informed as this project progresses. Thanks to all those who raised this issue with me”.
